Job Overview:
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to connect with community members, partners, and stakeholders. This role involves organizing events, fostering relationships with local organizations, and facilitating access to CAF programs and services. The Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in expanding CAF’s reach and ensuring the community benefits from available resources.
This position requires regular travel to attend community events, engage with partners, and oversee outreach initiatives across different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement and Outreach:
- Develop and implement outreach plans to increase awareness and participation in CAF programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, local leaders, schools, and faith-based institutions.
- Attend and represent CAF at community events, workshops, and fairs to engage with the public and promote services.
- Conduct outreach to underserved communities to assess needs and connect them with relevant CAF programs.
- Coordinate volunteer efforts for outreach activities and community events.
- Travel to various community sites and CAF partner locations to strengthen connections and ensure project goals are met.
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate outreach events, workshops, and informational sessions.
- Manage event logistics, including securing venues, arranging materials, and coordinating staff and volunteers.
- Ensure community events align with CAF’s mission and goals, maximizing community impact.
- Track attendance and gather community feedback to improve future outreach efforts.
- Partnership Development:
- Establish and strengthen partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and organizations aligned with CAF’s mission.
- Act as a liaison between CAF and external partners to facilitate collaboration and program delivery.
- Explore and develop new partnerships to expand the reach of CAF’s services and resources.
- Travel as needed to meet with current and potential partners.
- Program Support and Reporting:
- Support CAF program implementation by assisting in participant recruitment and engagement.
- Maintain records of outreach activities, including partner contacts and community interactions.
- Provide regular updates to leadership regarding outreach efforts and community needs.
- Prepare reports on outreach outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Relations, Community Development, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in community outreach, event coordination, or program support, preferably in a non-profit or social service setting.
- Languages: Bilingual (English and Spanish) – Required.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Spanish.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Event planning and coordination experience.
- Ability to work with diverse communities and partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the region.
